How old must you be to register to vote in Mesa County?
You must be 18 years old. You may also register if you are going to turn 18 years old by the date of the next election.
Who is eligible to register to vote in Mesa County?
You must be a citizen of the United States; and consider Mesa County to be your
sole legal place of residence.
Where can you register to vote in Mesa County?
You may register to vote, make changes in your name or address, or provide the
Elections Division with additional new information at any of the Clerk and
Recorder offices, or at any town/city hall or driver’s license office in the
State of Colorado.

Are Voter Registration forms available?
Voter Registration Application and/or Absentee Ballot Application forms are
available at any of the Clerk and Recorder offices, and are also available to
down load and print. See Forms link on this website. Complete the form(s)
and return it to any one of the Clerk and Recorder offices. Note: When mailing a
registration form, please have a copy of your driver’s license or state ID to
submit with the registration.
Am I required to affiliate with a political party?
You may affiliate with either the Democrat and Republican parties, one of the
minor political parties, or a political organization recognized in Colorado. You
may also choose not to affiliate with any party or organization, designating
your status as “unaffiliated.”
Are there any costs involved?
There is no fee to register to vote. Should you wish to purchase certified
documents reflecting voter registration, those may be purchased at the Elections
Office for $2.25 each. A voter registration card may be purchased for $1.00.

What is Mesa County’s voting equipment?
Mesa County has touch screen voting equipment (with voter verifiable paper audit record) for Early Voting & Election Day, and optical scan voting equipment for Absentee Voting.
